All women shown in his pictures appear vulnerable and strong at the same time, yet are still shy and withdrawn, without hiding themselves completely. Dreamy, fairytale like and gentle, Bortolato designes his images in an almost minimalistic way. Some of his pictures seem to tell us a long journey; others wrap the viewer in a moment of silence in which everything else around him fades into the background.
