Livio Moiana was born in 1969 in Como (Italy). He has been working from 25 years as advertising photographer and portraitist. He studied photography in Milan, at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) where he graduated in 1991. Straight after the graduation, Livio started working as a freelance professional. In 1993 he moved to Miami, USA. After working for Mickey Rourke, Livio chooses to widen his work to portrait and show sectors. Thanks to the help of Claudio Cecchetto, he became the official photographer of Radio Capital in Italy. In the following years he worked for known brands such as Nestlè, Mediaset, Radio Deejay, Il Sole 24 ore, Klaus Davi & co., BRW & partners, Varese Basketball team, Lombardy Region and Skechers. The human body, its sinuous lines, black and white. All of this merges in Shapes (of freedom), a collection of photographs searching for a new mean of communication and sharing a communal language: the postural movement. Space is a blank page to be filled; body lines are ink. We are left with the freedom of choosing which of those letters can express our feelings better. No titles are needed, nor visages are shown, nor explanations are provided. Just the complete freedom to interpret. Feelings reshape into all and every single loop of the body, into its lines and in the dim light created by movement.
