The emerging fashion photographer Daria Belikova was born in Russia, Togliatti. Afterwards Daria and her family moved to the countryside close to Moscow city, where she spent her childhood. Daria started to show her interest in photography at the age of 15. In 2012 she moved to London to start her BA in Fashion Photography at the London College of Fashion from where she successfully graduated in 2015. Since her second year at university, Daria has been showing her interest in art photography, which she has concisely managed to combine with fashion in her following artworks. After her graduation from LCF and 4 years of creative and working collaborations in UK, she made her way to NYC where her career has continued to develop. Today she produces artworks that are laced with emotion and steeped with ethereal beauty. Crimson Peak is filled with romantic tragedy. Being inspired by the eponymous movie, Daria created a story which reflects her vision of 'Crimson Peak'. By adding Dalmatians to the picture, she supplements the composition with a surrealistic touch and a symbolic meaning, in fact only about 70% of Dalmatians have normal hearing, whereas the majority has a genetic predisposition for deafness, a serious health problem for them, that is why their presence on the picture is meaningful. Red colour of the image is provocative as well as passionate, however red is a colour of anger also. All these things are staying inside the woman – a character who is depicted on the image. She looks calm and silent, but there are ocean rages inside her red lost heart.
